great health

In this performance, choreographers Anya Kravchenko and Anton Vdovichenko, together with composer Anastasia Tolchneva (Lovozero), examine ideas about health, the limits of medicine, and self-healing.
By weaving together digital aesthetics, wellness practices, scientific judgement, and somatically sensitive dance, the authors explore the ability of consciousness to trust the sensory reality of our bodies when it comes to health.
«Great Health» does not provide prescriptions, but it captivates, like the pulsating envelope of a soap bubble, like an alternative scenario of reality.

The choreography is based on health exercises, but does not adhere to them exactly; distortions accumulate and form a series of dances.
Dance is weaved with the speech — along the piece the dancers recite scientific, philosophical and poetic theses, confronting speech with the reality of the body in motion.
The sound and scenery of the work borrow vibrations and forms of the human body (biosignals, shapes of the organs, texture of the skin), placing the action in the interior of a hypothetical health or entertainment club.
